NY government is upset with President Trump

Starting next year, eligible workers can file taxes for 2025 to claim the deduction on their 2025 tax return. The major two are no federal tax on tips capped up to $25,000 and no tax on overtime up to $12,500. Also there will be social security deduction for 65 and above, no tax on American made car loan interest, green new scam regulations cut, lowering cost of cars by $1,000 to $2,000 and child tax credit expansion to $2,200 indexed to inflation.

Both NY state and city are upset with President Trump since taxation works by charging more from workers to support those who don’t work. Now it's a wait and watch on the federal funding to NY and NYC.

President Trump is bad news for NY and NYC which is pushing for democracy with taxation to make the most powerful government since in the city, 1 in 4 are in the system living well with taxpayer funds. Under the incoming Mayor more regulations will be announced with taxation which will be up to the Governor to approve.

NYC will kick off a new campaign starting next year with Tax the Rich with so many newly created non profits and activists with protests to make the city affordable to fund one free service at a time. The first one is free universal childcare which will need a minimum of $5 billion per year despite a $2 billion shortfall in the city budget. The incoming Mayor's staff believe more donations from the people can clear the hurdle since the new NYC is full of love.
