NY Governor scrapped two agendas from the housing plan

Just like that, pooooooooofffffff!

The NY Governor pulled the tax bracket code favoring the affordable housing developers. This means qualified tenants falls under no pay no stay yer out without free lawyers after the eviction term expired. The Governor did not renew it. The new affordable housing code has qualified tenants to be evicted allowing developers to avoid property taxes. This is without exceptions in term of rent that must be paid now. So this means if all qualified tenants are evicted from a single building, developers still has tax break.

The affordable housing has many complaints that has tenants unable to keep up with the rent after qualifying under low income program.

Also, the ADA campaign is dead which is adding floors to extend one family into two families or more zoning. Northeast Queens and Nassau County residents fought for this and got their victory today. The NY Governor would lose suburban voters for the June 2022 primary if allowed.
