NO No no to equal opportunity program for shelters in NYC

All NYC shelters are equal for ex-cons, those suffering from mental health, homeless, unemployed etc.

Now those living in the shelters are demanding separations along with different programs such as movies and food despite receiving $750 per month public benefits and other assistance.

As of today, six major prisons closed their doors in NY state and moved most to shelters where violence continues to plague.

The elected officials are calling it failed policies on housing and other services in NYC demand more funds and not prisons.

This came after a 35 year old woman was stalked and killed in downtown Manhattan by a homeless suspect.

Supportive housing to separate all will meet the goal and safer communities is the next task. This is part of health and safety along with investment in community programs. With no enforcement of trespassing, many have taken over the streets for living.

Meanwhile over 50,000 families seeking shelters have been turned down due to lack of housing alternatives despite filing the applications supported by various non-profit agencies funded by the city.
