Multiple injuries after car crash toward a supermarket in Bayside

The NYPD is at the local Key Food on 73rd Avenue near Bell Blvd reporting a car crash toward the supermarket.

EMS reported multiple injuries.

One civilian, female, 72, is in critical condition from outside after the incident.

The incident was reported this afternoon around 12:45pm in the back parking lot. The driver, 78 years old male stayed on the scene and is cooperating with the police after transported to a local hospital.

A witness said the driver was backing when the incident occurred.

ESU and FDNY are working on the scene.

Highway CIS is also on the scene.

73rd Avenue is closed for now.
