Multi agency saturation detail results in three arrests

A multi-agency saturation detail on February 5, 2026, resulted in three arrests. 

Multiple law enforcement agencies conducted the detail aimed at enhancing public safety and addressing violent crime and illegal drug activity in the western portion of Broome County. 

The enforcement effort involved members of the New York State Police Troop C Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team (VGNET), Troop C Community Stabilization Unit (CSU), Vestal Police Department, Endicott Police Department, Owego Police Department and Broome County Sheriff’s Office.

The operation focused on proactive patrols, traffic enforcement, and intelligence-driven policing to deter criminal activity and to remove dangerous weapons and drugs from the community. 

A traffic stop in the village of Endicott, resulted in the arrest of Kenneth Jordan, 61 of Endicott who was found in possession of:

•    A Smith & Wesson Semi Auto .40 Caliber Pistol w/ 14 round magazine containing 11 rounds

•    Numerous knotted plastic bags containing approximately 13.8 grams of crack

•    Numerous glassine envelopes containing purple fentanyl

•    Oxycodone pills

•    U.S. Currency

Jordan was charged with:

•    Two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree (narcotic drug, intent to sell), a class “B” felony

•    Criminal Possession of a Narcotic Drug in the 4th degree, a class “C” felony

•    Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd degree (loaded firearm other than person’s home/business), a class “C” felony

•    Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd degree (previous conviction), a class “D” felony

 

Jordan was processed then transported to the Broome County Jail for Centralized Arraignment.A traffic stop in the village of Johnson City resulted in the arrest of Robert S. Stankevich, 50 of Binghamton who was found in possession of approximately 3 grams of crystal meth.

Stankevich was charged with:

•    Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree, a misdemeanor

Stankevich was issued appearance tickets to the Johnson City Village Court on February 11, 2026.

A traffic stop in the town of Union resulted in the arrest of Donavin J. Stiglich, 22 of Whitney Point who was found in possession of approximately 8 grams of crystal meth.

Stiglich was charged with:

•    Two counts Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree, a misdemeanor

Stiglich was issued appearance tickets to appear at the Union Town Court on February 17, 2026.
