Mother arrested after taking off from car crash in Ozone Park

Police busted Malikah George, 25 when she visited hospitals all night looking for her 1 year old child today. She is charged with acting in a manner injurious to a child, driving a vehicle without license, insurance and unregistered vehicle, leaving the scene of accident and reckless endangerment. The crash happened on May 30 around 7pm at 101st Avenue and 93rd Avenue in Ozone Park. Then she took off on foot after handing over the 1 year old child to a stranger. Police reported George took off after a hit and run nearby before crashing and taking off. The child is with children's services currently. She claimed that she was being chased by strangers. The investigation is ongoing.
