Mother and child doing fine after special delivery on the SSP

The NCPD went full force to the Southern State Parkway westbound after receiving a call about a mother going into labor in need of EMS while heading to the hospital. The baby was delivered by midnight on the Southern State Parkway near Exit 21 in Hempstead. From there, EMS transported the mother and baby to a local hospital now in excellent condition.

Locals are applauding the Nassau County police for their jobs as always.
