Mosquito spraying in northeast Queens

On August 17, the NYC Dept of Health will conduct an adultcide treatment in the following zip codes, parts of 11354, 11356, 11357, 11358, 11359, 11360, and 11361.

The neighborhoods are parts of Auburndale, Bayside, Bay

Terrace, Beechhurst, Broadway, Clearview, College Point, Flushing,

Linden Hill, Malba, and Whitestone.

The spraying starts on Thursday, August 17, 2023

between the hours of 8:30pm and 6:00am the following morning.

The Health Dept issued this to stay safe during spraying:

• Stay indoors, whenever possible.

• Air conditioners can remain on. While unnecessary, you may wish to close air conditioner vents, or choose the recirculate function.

After spraying:

• Wash skin and clothing exposed to pesticides with soap and water.

• Always wash fruits and vegetables with water.
