Mooers male arrested after locating stolen UTV

On June 23, 2026, New York State Police arrested Russell L. Dupee, age 39, of Mooers, for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Third Degree and Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree.

On May 21, 2026, at approximately 5:24 p.m., troopers responded to State Route 11 in the town of Mooers for a report of a stolen dark green 2015 Polaris Ranger UTV.

An investigation determined that Dupee was captured on surveillance video with the stolen UTV and spray-painting the UTV in an apparent attempt to conceal its identity.

The UTV was later located in a wooded area and had sustained damage.
