Mayor di Blasio to setup commission on property taxes in NYC

Mayor di Blasio to setup commission to review property taxes in NYC and what can be done. This is for residential including coop and condo except commercial buildings. The result will be announced by end of May. The purpose is to report how homes with equal values showed difference in taxes and seniors being unable to pay resulting liens on their properties. Although there won't be any deductions in property taxes but a report of the study for the public. Then NYC Council will decide whether if its feasible for reform. 4/16/18 @ 4:30pm
