Mayor and Governor are in DC

The NYC Mayor and state Governor are in DC to witness the $1 trillion infrastructure bill into law. The first package passed as bipartisan will give jobs to unions, roads, bridges, clean water, internet and clean energy future.

As for the Mayor, he says the city has opened up boosters to anyone 18 and above as long as they “"can determine their own risk of exposure based on their individual circumstances. In practice, this means that providers should not turn a patient away if they request a booster." Quoted by the Health Commissioner.

However, the FDA and CDC have yet to authorize boosters for all adults which could come as early as next week. The city is making them all booster eligible anyway.

Also, this year more crowds can gather in Times Square to ring in the start of 2022, following a deducted 2021 ball drop celebration due to the pandemic. More details will be announced tomorrow.

As for the Governor, with the Infrastructure Bill passed, there won’t be any fare hike for MTA until 2024.

And last but not least, Andy is hinting at making a run for Governor again instead of AG.
