Manhunt underway in Queens for teenager suspected in subway stabbing

A 15-year-old boy was subjected to a violent attack on a Queens subway train earlier this week, resulting in a citywide manhunt for the assailant. According to NY Daily News, the incident occurred on a Manhattan-bound M train at approximately 12:30 p.m. yesterday. The teen sustained a stab wound to the stomach and subsequently sought help at the Court Square-23rd St. station.

After being flagged down by the injured youth, police were on the scene, and medics quickly transported the victim to New York-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell. Fortunately, he is currently in stable condition. The suspect, who is also believed to be 15 years old, had apparently fled the scene by remaining on the subway train, as reported by the amNewYork.
