Man shot dead inside liquor store in Port Jefferson

Police reported a man shot dead inside the liquor store in Port Jefferson. Reported the man went inside wielding a samurai sword and the owner shot him.

It happened around 2pm at Port Jeff Liquors on Main Street.

The man died at the scene.

The store owner had legal right to own the firearm.

The investigation continues.
