Man died after hit by train in Jackson Heights

Police reported a man who lost his phone onto the tracks died after jumping to retrieve it in Jackson Heights. The incident was reported on Sunday night at the 74th Street Broadway station around 11:30pm. The F train was not able to stop on time.

ESU declared the man, 46 dead at the scene.
