Man Found Dead Inside Burning Dumpster In Queens Police Say

A man was found dead inside a burning dumpster in Queens on Monday, according to police and the FDNY.

Firefighters responded to a fire near a shopping center on North Conduit Ave. just before 7 a.m. When the fire was finally put in the dumpster, they found the man's body inside.

Additional details on the victim have not been released. Police are investigating how the man ended up in the dumpster.

The incident was first reported by the New York Daily News.

The city's medical examiner will determine the official cause of death. The man has not been identified yet, pending family notification.
