Mama in custody after cops went all over with search

A 5 year old child was found wandering on Tuesday morning in the Far Rockway section of Queens had police went on search for the mother who was missing inside a home.

The child was found by a worker at the local laundromat who called the police who was not able to speak. After a massive search all over NYC, the NYPD tracked down the mother in Brooklyn and was taken into custody on the same night. Police say the mother left the kids and went to allegedly rob with an accomplice. The woman has been charged with reckless endangerment leaving four children alone in the apartment and endangering the welfare of children. Also with assault and robbery of a victim in Brooklyn.

The accomplice is still at large.

All children from 6 to 10 years old are now with the NYC Administration for Children's Services.

The investigation continues.
