Male slashed over coffee theft in Flushing

Police reported a deli worker in Flushed was slashed in the face by a suspect with a razor in Flushing. It happened today early this morning at the deli on Roosevelt Avenue near Main Street around 5:45am. The suspect was trying to leave the store with the coffee when a worker confronted to pay. This is when the victim was slashed with a boxcutter. Then the suspect took off on foot and later to Q20 bus. Police arrested the suspect. The victim is taken to a local hospital. Ongoing investigation.
