MTA police seeking public s help identifying man fatally struck by LIRR train last July 7 in Baldwin

On Sunday, July 7, 2019, the man rode up the escalator at the LIRR station in Baldwin at 12:30 a.m. as shown in the flier. At 12:48 a.m., he was observed fatally stepping onto the tracks west of the station?s platform, where he was struck by LIRR Train 6000, the 12:01 a.m. departure from Penn Station, due into Babylon at 1:18 a.m. The MTA Police do not suspect any criminality in relation to this incident. MTA Police have described him as being between 55- and 75-years-old, of east Asian descent, and partially bald with gray/brown hair around the sides of his head. He was wearing glasses, a blue ?Sky Vodka? t-shirt, North Face khaki cargo pants, a green colored vest and gray New Balance sneakers. He was not in possession of ID and had no tattoos or other identifiable markings. There were no witnesses to the incident besides the train crew. MTA Police have canvassed the area but found no one who knew him. MTA Police have been working with the Nassau County Police Department and have searched missing persons reports but found no matches.
