MTA hiked tolls for drivers in NYC

Starting Sunday, 7% toll hikes will go into effect for drivers in NYC. This is to recover the multi-billion dollar losses from the pandemic. Subway fares remain the same. The bridges are Bronx-Whitestone, Throgs Neck, and Verrazzano-Narrows Bridges and the Hugh L. Carey Tunnel along with Midtown Tunnel and RFK Bridge. The other two are Cross Bay and Marine Parkway in Queens. Example is the Midtown Tunnel and the Triboro Bridge now known as RFK Bridge will be up by 67 cents each way. For E-Z Pass, it’s $6.55 from $6.12 and without it, $10.17 from $9.50. Also, there is a charge for drivers who don't have the E-Z Pass fitted properly if unable to read. This is a processing cost of the MTA matching drivers plates with their E-ZPass account.
