Luxury vehicle targets in Queens

Police reported multiple break-ins late nights in Queens targeting luxury vehicles on the driveway. The latest incident was reported in Douglaston by Ardsley Avenue when two Mercedes and a Range Rover were stolen while the people inside the home were sleeping. Two vehicles stolen from Bayside. Bellerose reported 3 stolen autos. Floral Park with one and Glen Oaks with 4.

Fresh Meadows reported 8 stolen vehicles.

Last week, 26 vehicles were stolen out of a Queens car dealership. Even with security systems and cameras, the Queens Blvd lot was targeted on Sunday..

Before this, another dealership had 18 vehicles stolen in Jamaica.

Experts believe thieves will sell many of these stolen cars overseas where luxury cars often command high prices.

NYPD reported car thefts are on the rise and it's a record breaker to almost 50% this year.

So far no arrests.
