Love is welcome in your home for money

The NYC Mayor announced all residential owners can apply with the city to house migrants coming from the open border down the south.

This came after planned shelter at JFK airport delayed due to code approval from the state.

At the same time, the Mayor called on faith leaders using religion for money to support migrants in their shelters which are tax free.

The Mayor quoted,

“It is my vision to take the next step to this: go to the faith-based locales and then move to a private residence. There are residents who are suffering right now because of economic challenges. They have spare rooms."

Under the partnership with NY Disaster Interfaith Services to add 50 locations of houses of worship to provide shelter to up to 19 single adult male at each location. This costs taxpayers $125 per night compared to $380 for hotels.

The city will also open daycare centers for summer to add more migrants. At the same time, the Mayor is asking the state to codify illegal basements under emergency shelter protected by the city.

As for residential owners, the Mayor's Office implied a 30 days probation period to decide the cost which is around $75 to $100 per day. The only risk is private home owners are responsible for the new codes when ready to bear the expenses and must comply with the building dept to avoid fines.
