Long Island woman s horror event in Bayside when her phone caught fire inside the elevator

Real estate agent Diane Chung filed lawsuit with Queens Supreme Court after her phone, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 caught fire inside her purse. The East Meadow woman was n Bayside on September 3 while inside an elevator, she noticed her purse was extreme hot. Then smoke followed by fire. Once she got to the lobby, a good samaritan took it from her and placed in a water container. The company reported the new phone is fireproof but Samsung is looking into it. Chung is suing for undisclosed sum after she lost client contacts and other information. She also filed a restraining order to stop from releasing anymore Galaxy Note 9. Samsung is looking into the incident.
