Long Island beaches closed early for the second day

Before 11am today, several Long Island beaches closed due to capacity. From Lido Beach, Jones Beach to Nickerson Beach reaching the capacity before 11am, police had to re-route traffic to other beaches with delays. Robert Moses Park beach was already closed by 9am and drivers were re-routed on Robert Moses Causeway, Montauk Highway, and the Ocean Parkway. As of afternoon, both NCPD and SCPD are working on the traffic in the vicinity of beaches for traffic control.
