Long Island beach opens on May 22

Long Island beaches in most areas will start opening on Friday, May 22 with strict guideline. For Memorial Day weekend only, entrance fees for vehicles will be not honored.
These beaches are open to the public for Memorial Day weekend.
Nickerson Beach at Lido Beach is only for Nassau County residents and only 1,000 are allowed. There will be $15 fee with proof of residency. Lifeguards will be on duty at 10am. Tickets can be purchased at nassaucountyny.gov or call (516) 571-7700.
Jones Beach State Park will open at 7am. Robert Moses State Park will also open at 7am. Sunken Meadow State Park open at sunrise. Heckscher State Parkat 7am with no lifeguards on duty. Orient Beach State Park and Wildwood State Park also opens on sunrise with lifeguards. Sailors Haven during sunrise with no lifeguards and Hither Hills State Park opens with lifeguards.
These two beaches in Suffolk County is open for residents only. Smith Point County Park and Cupsogue Beach County Park.
