LIRR strike on hold for now

The large group of unions that controls NY has placed the planned LIRR strike on hold for now after requesting the Presidential Emergency Board for negotiation involving the federal government.

This will grant a 120 day extension time frame until a negotiation is involved. If not, then the next step will be announced then.

For now, trains will be on normal schedule.
