Jericho home invasion suspect arrested

The NCPD reports the arrest of a Brooklyn man for a home invasion and robbery. It happened on September 8, 2019 at 1:30am in Jericoho. According to detectives, a male, armed with a hand gun, forced entry into a residence on Celia Drive. Once inside the residence the subject tied up a female victim, 62, and two more male subjects, wearing masks, entered the residence. The victim was then led to the bathroom and placed in the bath tub. The subjects then removed an undisclosed amount of currency and proceeds from the residence before fleeing in an unknown direction. After a thorough investigation, the defendant Illya Ibbott, 30, of Brooklyn, was placed into custody of the Nassau County Police Detectives. At the time of arrest, he was in the custody of the NYPD for an unrelated incident. The defendant Illya Ibbott has been charged with Robbery 1st Degree, Burglary 1st Degree and Criminal Use of a Firearm. He will be arraigned on Thursday, April 8, 2021 in Mineola. The two outstanding subjects are described as male blacks, 6 feet tall with a thin build.
