Jamaica cop living in Nassau County shot a man outside his home

Police reported an off duty cop working at the Jamaica precinct shot a man who was outside his house with a baseball bat. It happened after midnight on Stirrup Path in Seaford.

Police didn't disclose what the confrontation was about leading to the shooting.

The man shot was taken to a local hospital. The NYPD officer was also taken to hospital for observation.

From police sources, it was romantic rival after one caught the other in bed with his wife..
