JFK US Customes and Border Protection Officer Fernando Marte arrested for allowing a couple arriving from Dominican Republic leave the airport without checking their bags

It happened at Terminal 5 of Jet Blue. Other officers alerted supervisors and stopped them. After an investigation, all three were taken into custody. The couple had 50 kils of cocaine in their luggage. The incident happened on February 7 and officials at the airport are on high alert changing agents to screen carefully as of today. Authorities believe there are more agents involved.
