Indoor school mask mandate is all over by March 2 in NYS

The NYS Governor announced that due to the declining rate of rona by 98% and following the science from CDC guidance, all statewide school masks will be kaput. That date is March 2. However, school districts will have a mask mandate where there is a high transmission based on the data but optional only and that decision is made by the individual school. What nobody knows is that’s the court date for the mask mandate in schools filed by parents and the judge implied the Governor has no chance so there. Now the Governor will look for the next subject for the hostage crisis pending notification for all. It was a long two years of masks worn so tirelessly.

As for NYC, the Mayor announced if the data is declining, then the indoor mask mandate will be removed on March 7 for public schools. A final decision will be made on March 4 for that. The good news is indoor dining, fitness and entertainment venues involving Key2NYC will no longer need vaxx cards to enter effective March 7 in NYC.

The bad news is public transportation including subways, healthcare and shelters requires masks. Also, all restaurants need vaxx cards until the Mayor decides.

The Mayor is awaiting for the next topic for all to follow.
