Horseheads resident charged in child exploitation case after state police investigation

The New York State Police announce the arrest of Alexander W. Lowman, age 27, from Horseheads, NY, following a comprehensive child exploitation investigation conducted by SP Horseheads Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Troop E Computer Crimes Unit, Troop E Forensic Investigation Unit, SP Horseheads Uniform Force and the Village of Horseheads Police Department. The investigation originated with a referral from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

On April 18, 2024, State Police executed a search warrant on Tifft Ave in the village of Horseheads as part of an ongoing child exploitation investigation. During the search, numerous electronic devices were seized for forensic examination by the Troop E Computer Crimes Unit (CCU).
