Homeowner shot in Flushing

Police reported a male was shot when eight suspects broke into a home in Flushing. The incident was reported this morning around 5:30am 62nd Avenue near 138 Street.

The suspects climbed through the windows and the homeowner heard the noise. This is when the victim pushed them from entering. This is when one of the suspects shot the victim.

EMS transported the victim to a local hospital.

As of today afternoon, the victim is in critical condition.

Four suspects took off in a vehicle and the other four on foot.

Police didn't disclose additional details if the home was targeted.
