Homeowner arrested after shooting two burglary suspects in Mastic Beach

Today around 1pm, police were called to a home in Mastic Beach, Suffolk County reporting the homeowner shot two people allegedly trying to break into the house. This is on Madison Street. One perp is shot and in the hospital. The other is in custody. The homeowner is also in custody. Ongoing investigation.
One source reported both suspects were released without bail.
