Homeless man arrested after throwing a 6 year old to the ground in Kew Gardens

Police arrested a homeless man for throwing a 6 year old boy to the ground. It happened around 5pm on Metropolitan Avenue and Lefferts Blvd in Kew Gardens.

The homeless man approached the child who was with his parents and picked him up without provocation and threw him to the ground.

Police arrested the 35 year old male at the scene.

The child has been taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
