Home invasion reported at a home in Whitestone

The NYPD reported a home invasion this morning around 9am in Whitestone. The incident was reported in the vicinity of 12th Avenue and 152th Street.

Police say two suspects, males, blacks with one wearing Amazon delivery clothes pushed way into the home after it was partially left open. From there, the suspects forced the couple and their three children into the basement while displaying a weapon.

The suspects took off with personal belongings along with their vehicle, a silver Chrysler van. Police tracked the vehicle on the Van Wyck Expressway where it was found abandoned with the victim's phone.

EMS treated the victims on the scene and were not injured but emotionally hurt.

Detectives are checking if the perp is employed with Amazon.

There are multiple reports this was targeted.

So far no arrests.
