Hit and run with one dead in South Ozone Park

Police reported hit and run in South Ozone Park. It happened on September 10 around 1:15am on 111 Avenue ad 126 Street. One passenger reported dead after the crash on that intersection. A Honda CR-V driven by a 56 year old woman and her 72 year old passenger were hit by an SUV Lexus. Reported the SUV Lexus driver ran the red light when the incident occurred. The driver of Lexus took off on foot. The dead on the scene identified as Gilda Lascano, 72. Ongoing investigation.
