Hit and run victim dead identified as Williston Park resident

Police reported the victim who was struck by hit and run died at the local hospital this week identified as Joseph Harrison, 64 of Williston Park. The driver has not been identified but police reported the vehicle as 2006-2008 Infinity four door SUV, light in color, possibly silver or gray with front end damage. The incident was reported on October 2 around 12:05 in Mineola. He was riding his bicycle south bound on Mineola Blvd. at Washington Ave. when he was struck.
