Hit and run driver in custody after 10 injuries in Sunnyside

As per latest update, police reported the crash that occurred on October 28 around 3pm in Sunnyside was a hit and run with the driver under the influence. At least 10 people were injured in the crash including a pedestrian. This is on Queens Blvd and 47th Street.

Four vehicles were involved in the crash.

Eight adults were taken to local hospitals with minor injuries.
The pedestrian, a 14 year old girl, is in stable condition.

The original report came as a cyclist had been hit by a vehicle. Further investigation confirmed one of the vehicles involved in the crash had a bicycle on the rack.

The driver that caused the accident was arrested after a brief search and charged with DUI.

This was not the first arrest.
