NY has a new law starting midnight allowing drivers to continue to operate vehicles without getting suspended when they are pulled over for fines. This came after many low income drivers are unable to pay fines or those with amnesia forgot to pay. The DMV will send notices with payment arrangement plans and drivers must respond after several warnings are sent out. If no response, then license will be suspended but then go with amnesia and get a cousin lawyer to stall for a long time. If there is no response finally, then the fine will be forwarded to a collection agency and license will be suspended.
