Heavy fire at a home in Elmont

Firefighters are at 14 Belmont Blvd reporting heavy fire at a private dwelling. This is in Elmont. EMS is checking for injuries. The fire started in the second floor and extended throught the dwelling. Delays on Hempstead Turnpike due to emergency vehicles.

Firefighters are working on the scene.
