Heavy fire at a commercial location on Long Island

The SCPD closed off Islip Avenue in Islip reporting a heavy fire at a commercial location. This is by the LIRR station in Suffolk County.

The fire is now fourth alarm.

EMS reported injuries.

All are evacuated from the apartments on the second floor also.

Local residents are advised to close windows from the heavy smoke in the area.

Trains are not affected.

Police are also working on the traffic coordination.

Firefighters are working on the scene.

The cause of fire is under investigation.
