Heavy delays on the LIE eastbound in Nassau County

The NCPD closed lanes on the Long Island Expressway reporting a delivery truck had it's engine caught on fire and exploded.

The truck was carrying brand new cars to a local dealer when it happened.

Firefighters are working on the scene.

ESU and EMS are also working on the scene.

This is by Exit 41 in Jericho.

Heavy delays all around.

Avoid the route for now.
