Half acre is now worth around five million in Long Island City

Long Island City which is the new mini Manhattan is one hot market target and now the most expensive to grab. 0.5 acres now cost around $5 million. The next one to grab is Jamaica where all the actions are taking place. Still one place in Queens belongs to a group and no one can touch which is Flushing where nothing is for sale to the public.

The latest deal in Long Island City was completed on November 17 for the lot, 4-28 33rd Street which is a 0.5 acre land parcel sold at a cool $4.7 million next to the busiest road of Queens, Queens Blvd. Just one mile from the 59th Street bridge to easy access to Manhattan is another convenience. With the City of Yes all moving forth with new developments in Long Island City, the goal is to have 100,000 units as part of an affordable housing program.

The NY Governor signed off to build more housing within 1.5 mile left and right of the LIRR as part of rapido process to hurry starting with Floral Park.
