Gun recovery arrest in Hicksville

The Second Squad reports the arrest of an Ohio man for illegally Possessing a Firearm that occurred on Friday, June 16, 2023 at 11:15 p.m. in Hicksville.

According to Detectives, Officers were on patrol in the vicinity of the Econo Lodge, 429 Duffy Ave , when they observed Anthony Landon, urinating on a sidewalk. Upon further investigation, Officers recovered a loaded firearm from the defendant. He was arrested without incident.

Defendant Landon is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, and Disorderly Conduct. He will be arraigned on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at First District Court, 99 Main Street in Hempstead.
