The governor and mayor's office confirmed that price gouging does not apply to the governmental affairs as per law. This means companies selling to companies and the public are subject to government control for price gouging violations. NYS is paying 15 times the regular price for face masks, 4 times for PPE, ventilators and other machines but when they sell to non-governmental, its price gouging with penalty often force them to close down their business by FBI.
