First Grade Detective Anastasios Tsakos Memorial Bridge in Fresh Meadows

Today, the Francis Lewis Blvd bridge that has LIE underneath is named after the late First Grade Detective Anastasios Tsakos. The memorial bridge has a new sign also on the LIE.

Last April 27, the detective passed away from injuries on the LIE after hit by a vehicle driven by a suspect at the same location.

The PBA President Pat Lynch was at the intersection along with the family members and the police commissioner.
