Fire update in the area

Around 5am, Long Island firefighters were called to a home in Roslyn Heights reporting basement fire. This is at 49 Oakdale Road. One firefighters was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. The fire started in the basement adjacent to the home.

Around 7am, fire at a home in Westbury. This is at 239 Sheridan Street. There were no injuries.

Around 7:45am, apartment fire in Holliswood. This is at 86-50 208 Street. The fire was inside an apartment on the third floor.

Around 1pm, Queens Village reported fire at 108-11 220th Street. This was a small fire in the basement and first floor. EMS reported minor injuries.
