Fire in Nassau County with one dead

The NCPD reported a fire at an apartment in Rockville Centre this morning around 7am. This is on North Central Avenue at the unit, 274. EMS transported a female, 95, to a local hospital where she died later from the injuries.

The victim's family has been notified.

There were no other injuries.

The cause of fire is under investigation.
