Fire damaged Greek eatery in Bayside

FDNY reported basement fire at 205-07 35th Avenue In Bayside inside Souvlaki Square. From there the fire spread to the first floor damaging both floors. It was brought under control later with no injuries. A witness stated people were leaving from the rear door before the fire started. The Dept of Health has shut down the eatery pending investigation to what caused the fire. Update - The basement is damaged and the first floor equipment remains intact.
