Fire at the local hookah in New Hyde Park

Around 3am last night, FDNY reported smoke from the local hookah building on Union Turnpike near Lakeville Road in New Hyde Park.

By 3:30am, the fire was brought under control.

EMS reported minor injuries from smoke inhalation.

This is next to the former diner.

Firefighters are investigating to what caused the fire.
