Father angry after driver released from hit and run in Rego Park

On Sunday around 6pm, Sherena Hundalani, 26, a Baruch College graduate died after struck by vehicle. It happened at the intersection of Junction Blvd and 62nd Drive in Rego Park when the driver of a 2005 Town Car that was a green cab exited the gas station while Sherena was crossing.

The driver didn't stop and was chased few blocks until a good samaritan knocked on the driver side and removed the key. Police arrested the driver and was later released due to ongoing investigation.

No charges has been filed. Sherena's father who owns Mamasita Bar and Grill in Manhattan is now demanding further investigation.
